'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, plot spoilers: Saitama to face 'Human Monster' Garou; One Punch Man to find love in season 2?

Ever since the second season of "One Punch Man" was confirmed by its creator, fans have been speculating who the strong hero will face next.

Among the possible names floated around has been Lord Boros, who may seek revenge against Saitama he was defeated soundly last season. He will reportedly come with more allies to assure his victory against the bald hero.

It was also reported that Saitama could face off with even more powerful and scarier monsters than last season's villains — such as Mosquito Girl, Deep Sea King, Vaccine Man, and Beefcake — reported iTechPost.

Meanwhile, the buzz is strong that Saitama will be fighting a challenging opponent: Garou, who is the only one with the ability to withstand his punches. Garou — who is a former disciple of Bang — is also known as "The Human Monster" and is most likely to become the next big villain because of the character's strong hatred for heroes. The character is also one of the major villains in the manga, Sportsrageous reported.

It was also rumored that Saitama will finally face his first defeat. Other speculations floating around say that he will lose his powers at some point of the season, making it even more challenging for Saitama to bounce back as a hero.

Aside from opponents, other rumors are saying that Saitama will be involved in a love triangle and that this romance angle will affect his responsibilities as a hero. The hero is expected to be linked with two women — siblings Tatsumaki and Fubuki — Mobipicker reported.

The sisters are considered opposites – Tatsumaki is an S-rank 2 hero who is very serious about her duties. Meanwhile, her sister Fubuki is a B-class hero and the leader of The Blizzard Group. She is confident yet is also insecure when she compares herself to her older sister.

It will be interesting to see who Saitama gravitates towards.

The second season of "Once Punch Man" is expected to be released in the spring of 2017.
