NVIDIA GeForce GT 930 rumors: Low-end GPU arriving by first quarter of 2016

As far as taking it up a notch when it comes to satisfying gaming and video editing needs, NVIDIA has been known to deliver. They have their share of reliable graphics processing units (GPUs), although the issue of price will separate the big spenders from the ones seeking reasonably priced ones.

But as everyone knows, you get what you pay for, although NVIDIA could have something more reasonable for the techie's pocket with the rumored coming of the GeForce GT 930.

The said graphics card could be out as early as the first quarter of 2016, when there could be three variants of the model that will be made available.

Per TechFrag.com, the three variants would include Maxwell GM108, Kepler GK208, and Fermi GF108.

Of the lot, the Maxwell GM108 variant seems to be the best of the crop and will be the most expensive of the three at $90. Its main feature seem to be the 15W thermal design power (TDP), which will probably be the main draw.

If that is too much, the Kepler GK208 could be a good option, although it barely offers savings at $80 to $85. With this variant, one gets 25/40W TDP which may somehow force you to go for the Maxwell GM108 for a couple of bucks.

Things change, however, for the Fermi GF108, which costs only $60. However, this variant's specs rapidly deteriorate as a whole, making it perhaps unwise for the ones into video editing or gaming that require high graphics support.

Right now, it remains to be seen if three variants of the low-cost NVIDIA GeForce GT 930 will indeed come out. The flexibility will, of course, be welcome but the thing is one has to consider which of the three makes sense in trying to suit the buyer's needs and for what purpose.
