Just a couple of days ago, customers from Canada and India reportedly suffered a setback with word that their Nexus 6P orders had been delayed.
Now, it seems that more delays are ahead due to the overwhelming demand or so to speak.
With the same reasoning given to the Canadian and Indian market, the latest is that even the U.S. market may have to adjust to the delays. The original shipment dates for Nexus 6P to U.S. customers have been moved back a bit possibly from Nov. 7 to 14.
Affected buyers who had placed orders for the Nexus 6P were sent emails, informing them of the setback. However, the inconvenience could be offset somehow with Google refunding $25 as soon as the phones start shipping.
The gesture is neat but before looking forward to that, it would be best for customers to check their emails and see if they are indeed covered by the delay and the $25 refund. Apparently, the abovementioned compensation offer covers only a certain Nexus 6P with defined specs, meaning this delay may not be applicable to all models.
As shown via Phandroid, the delay seems apply to Nexus 6Ps with a certain configuration. In this case, it's for the Nexus 6P 128 GB Aluminum version.
Now, for the ones who pre-ordered, this could be the same thing that they may be receiving soon. If the devices have not arrived yet, something might have gone wrong and customers may want to check their inbox just in case or inquire about the device shipment status.
The Google Nexus 6P is available in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants. The price for each are $499, $549 and $649, respectively, which seems to be a pretty decent selling price to consider.
This is actually the second variant of the Google Nexus phones for 2015, the first being the Google Nexus 5X from LG.
