Nexus 5 specs rumors: Renders of 2015 Huawei variant leaked

The first version of Nexus 5 from LG Electronics Google website

Just a couple of days ago, a video showing a render of the LG-made Nexus 5 2015 made the rounds, giving the tech world a good look at the upcoming smartphone from every angle. Now, there emerged photos reportedly showing renders of Huawei's version of the Google smartphone.

The renders came from uSwitch and @OnLeaks, who also served as the source of the video clip that showed off LG's Nexus 5 2015. The leaked renders of Huawei's version of the upcoming handset from the said sites are reportedly based on factory schematics given to third-party accessory makers.

Just like that of LG, the new Huawei-branded Nexus device will feature a fingerprint scanner on its rear, right below its protruding camera. It also has dual speakers plastered on the front as well as a reversible USB Type-C port.

As per the renders, the Nexus 5 2015 from the China-based tech firm is shown to be a 5.7-inch device measuring 159.4 mm x 78.3 mm x 6.6 /8.5 mm. Interestingly though, there's word that the device will also get a smaller 5.5-inch variant. Both are expected to have Quad HD quality.

There's no word on what colors Huawei and Google will dip the new Nexus 5 2015 in. That said, uSwitch fronts a disclaimer that the color of the device in the renders is pure speculation. Lastly, it is also expected that the latest Nexus iteration would be the first one to don Android M.

Google and its partner tech firms are expected to lift the veil off of the Nexus 5 2015 by October or November. If this comes to pass, this will be the first time that the software giant will have a two-variant Nexus device launch in a single year.

Of course, Google has yet to debunk nor confirm all this so it is best to take it with a pinch of salt. Those interested to see how the Nexus 5 2015 from Huawei will look like can check it here
