It is previously rumored that Google will be releasing a new lineup of its Nexus flagship this year. Recent speculations suggest that the tech giant may already be planning to unveil the new Nexus flagships soon, as the current-gen Nexus 5X and 6P gets huge discounts off their price tags.

According to Yibada, The Nexus 5X is currently up for grabs for as low as $290 from both brick-and-mortar and online retailers like B&H and Amazon. The price cuts are across all the Nexus 5X versions, which mean that buyers can choose from the 16- and 32-GB models. The versions are unlocked, so owners can use the Nexus 5X with most US mobile carriers, as well as international networks. Meanwhile, price cuts are also available for the Nexus 6P, and the top-tier flagship has already fallen below the $400 mark for the base model. In B&H, the 16-GB edition nets for $399, and the 64-GB one is available for $499. The most expensive is the 128-GB storage version, as it currently retails for $549.

The B&H deal also offers a $50 gift card which, when coupled with the $50 discount, comes at a total of $100 in savings.

Meanwhile, Ars Technica reports that another hint that the new Nexus lineups are coming out soon is that supposed leaks have started cropping up. Recent rumors suggest that Google has partnered with HTC for at least two Nexus phone flagships, which serve as the successors to the Nexus 5X and 6P. The industry follower said that HTC is already working on the upcoming flagships, and already codenamed the two devices as "Marlin" and "Sailfish." While the specs sheet of the new Nexus remains unclear, it may be expected that HTC will take some ideas from its recently-released 10 flagship lineup, integrating features to the new Nexus flagships like a top-tier Snapdragon 820 chipset, and at least 3 GB of RAM.
