Newsboys hitting the road with 'We Believe...God's Not Dead' tour

The Newsboys will be joining the "We Believe... God's Not Dead" tour.

The Newsboys, the Grammy-nominated group is all set to join the "We Believe...God's Not Dead" 2015 Spring Tour this week, right after the band received four K-LOVE Fan Awards nominations.

They will be joining other musical acts such as Audio Adrenaline and Finding Favour, with the tour introducing newbie artist John Tibbs, Breathecast reported.

The "We Believe...God's Not Dead" tour will start on February 12 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They will travel to more than 40 cities this spring, including Austin, Texas; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Des Moines, Iowa; and Albany, New York. They will end the tour on May 9 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

With four K-LOVE nominations under their belt this year, Newsboys have just tied with former tour-mate For King and Country with the most number of nominations received.

The band was nominated for Group/Duo of the Year; Best Live Show; Song of the Year ("We Believe"); and Artist of the Year, alongside TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, MercyMe and For King & Country. The third annual K-LOVE Fan Awards is slated on May 31 at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House.

2014 has been a very good year for the Newsboys, with its best-selling 2011 Inpop recording, God's Not Dead being certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Not only that, but they also received an American Music Award nomination and total 2014 album and track sales in excess of 800,000 units.

They were named Billboard's number three Top Christian Artist of the Year with a total of 144 concerts in eight different countries last year.

The band is made up of lead vocalist Michael Tait, Jody Davis on guitar, Jeff Frankenstein on keysboard, and Duncan Phillips on drums.
