New Testament Church of God backs national day of prayer

The New Testament Church of God (NTCOG) is mobilising its members to head to Wembley Stadium on 29 September for the National Day of Prayer and Worship (NDOP).

“We’re doing everything we can to ensure that members from our denomination will be well represented at NDOP Wembley," said Eric Brown, NTCOG’s Administrative Bishop for England and Wales.

"It will be an instrument for positive change in this nation and we want to be a part of it."

They will be joining the thousands of Christians from across the denominations and the nation taking part in the unprecedented event.

Bishop Brown believes the unity of the church is key towards a national revival: “It’s important that we all come together because we are working for one Lord and His heart is that the church should be one.

"Therefore NDOP Wembley is one of the best ways we can come together around a common purpose. My hope is this unity won’t just be for a one off event.”

Other NTCOG pastors are excited about the event and encouraging their congregations to attend.

Rev Brian Robinson, Senior Pastor NTCOG Clapton said: “NDOP Wembley is a wonderful opportunity for Christians of all church groups to come together with a sense of unity and powerful prayer together for the nation. Our own local church is planning to make its way to NDOP Wembley, so we’re already booking tickets.”

Bishop Derek Webley, NTCOG Handsworth in Birmingham, said: “NTCOG has totally bought in to NDOP Wembley. Many of our churches across the country are already promoting the event. This is a vital opportunity for people to demonstrate unity in their attendance at this gathering.”

So far, more than 20,000 tickets have been booked for NDOP Wembley.

The latest confirmed artists include Noel Robinson, Graham Kendrick, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Guvna B and the RCCG Mass Choir.
