With rumors afloat that CBS' long running show "NCIS" is headed for cancellation after season 15, there are also speculations that more cast members are about to follow Michael Weatherly's exit from the show.

It can be recalled that at the end of last season, Weatherly — the actor who played Senior Agent Tony DiNozzo after 13 seasons — left "NCIS" to headline his own CBS series entitled "Bull," which is based on the life of Dr. Phil McGraw.

Now, rumors are rife that even "NCIS's" lead star Mark Harmon — who plays Jethro Gibbs — could be the next one to say goodbye to the show. Based on a report by Parent Herald, viewers have noticed that the actor has been growing thin lately, which led to concerns about his health and overall well-being.

Some sources have speculated that this could prompt Harmon — who has been tagged by Ellen Degeneres as TV's favorite male personality — to resign from the show in order to have some well-deserved rest, or perhaps sign on to do another show.

Before the rumors of Gibbs' exit, there were also reports that 82-year old actor David McCallum — who plays the show's medical examiner Donald "Ducky" Mallard — is also preparing to leave the show at the end of the season. However, in an interview the actor said that he wants to continue playing Ducky on "NCIS" for as long as his health is okay.

"My cardiologist said 'you may look 65 but you've got a lot of miles on you'. I do pilates twice a week. I try to move as much as I can. When you have to be at the NCIS set at seven o'clock in the morning, remember the lines and give a performance, I think that's tremendously good for your health. It keeps you alive. I don't want to give that up," he told News Au.
