The Internal Affairs investigation continues in "NCIS: LA" season 7, and it affects Kensi and Deeks. Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Detective Deeks in the series, admitted to Entertainment Weekly that "it's tough," emphasizing that he still has no idea about what his character has to do with it.

"I think he's covering something up, something catastrophic. I think he probably gets sent back to LAPD at some point. I think he's hiding it from everybody, he's been hiding it from himself," the actor said. "Whatever it is, I only hope he did it for the right reasons."

Kensi and Deeks' relationship will be given more focus in "NCIS: LA" season 7. Renee Felice Smith, who plays the role of Nell in the series, has already said that her character's romance with Eric will take a backseat for them.

"It's kind of tough to have two couples that are actually together at the same time and to show all of that," she said back in May.

In other related news, "NCIS: LA" season 7 will see Callen going all rogue. This is after he discovers that his father, who he believed was long dead, is actually alive and well. Realizing everything he believed in isn't true at all, he finds himself caught in a whirlwind of emotions that will take its toll on him in the upcoming season.

This leads him to embark on his own mission that no one knows about, thus putting himself in great danger. The operation is eventually made known to Hetty and Sam, and the former orders her team to shut the operation down. Although they arrive in time to stop Callen, they are already late in saving him from destroying his life.

"NCIS: LA" season 7 premieres Sept. 21.
