NBA 2k16 news: update patch 1.06 notes released; Xbox update coming soon

 2k Sports

2K Sports has just released an update patch for their popular basketball game "NBA 2k16" for the PS4.

This update, the patch 1.06, is aimed to provide fixes to the game's general stability, as well as other myriad changes that could help enhance the game further and provide a better gaming experience to players. A full list of updates are available in the patch notes posted in their Facebook page.

However, some of the most prominent changes in this patch include: updated visual portraits of players, tuned effectiveness of long outlet passes for players with the Break Starter badge, tuned miss chances for deep downcourt and cherry picking, delayed branching from Kobe Bryant Back size-up, and many more.

This update is quite massive in size--around 2.4 GB--so a lot of players should anticipate a more streamlined gaming experience. The developers are hoping that, with this patch, some issues experienced by players beforehand are addressed. For Xbox One players, the update will also hit them soon, so there's no cause for worry.

In light of this, "Visual Concepts", the "NBA2K16" developer, has confirmed earlier that the "NBA2k17" game is currently under development. Their cover athlete is none other than the legendary Kobe Bryant.  By September 2016, "Legend Edition" of this game will be released, which features a lot of exclusive physical and digital content.

This "Legend Edition" is aimed to carry on Kobe Bryant's basketball legacy due to his retirement last April. As such, they're packing it with lots of related memorabilia highlighting his illustruous career.

Most notable of these items include a limited edition Kobe Bryant Poster, Kobe Panini Playing Cards, and a Black Mamba game controller skin.

For digital content, a lot of items are in store, but the only ones known as of the present include in-game currency, Nike Kobe 11 retirement shoes, a Kobe Hoodie and Team Bundles, along with other various rewards.
