NBA trade rumors Phoenix Suns: plans afoot for a complete roster overhaul?

It has been six seasons since the Phoenix Suns were able to reach the playoffs, which means that they seriously need to up their game for this next season.

However, Bright Side of the Sun reports that it looks like their health and chemistry issues might affect their performance for the next season once more. They could have actually secured a spot in the playoffs if their roster from last year didn't have so many fragile egos and weak constitutions. However, even if they did, their performance will be decidedly lackluster: they don't have any players worth a mention. Thus this drafting season is their big chance to bag one of the elite while they still have a chance.

A good foundation is all they need for any kind of long-term success. Before 2015, they had the title for longest winning streaks, and it would be great for them if they could reclaim that spot. Yet this year's draft list isn't looking too great, with the best of the best underqualifying for all-star in-game performances. On the bright side, however, it looks like next year's draft appears to be one of the best in a long while. It might be smarter for the team to look ahead and prepare for getting good picks from the next one rather than pushing for bagging anyone valuable next week.

The Phoenix Suns still have hope for their picks, if they play it smart and use a good mix of plans and gambles for the next season. They are reportedly considering Jamal Murray, Buddy Hield, Marquese Chriss and Dragon Bender for next week's roster - though they could instead improve their current team by prepping a good rotation between P.J. Tucker, T.J. Warren, Tyson Chandler, Alex Len, Devin Booker, and Brandon Knight.

Gospel Herald mentions that they might just send Eric Bledsoe over to the Philadephia 76rs, though nobody knows yet for sure who the 76ers are planning to trade in return. Yibada also reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers are planning to send off Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, Sasha Kaun and Mo Williams over to the Suns.

If the Suns do decide to pick either Chriss, Murray or Bender, this might just be the start to a real cleanup for their new roster. A good formula for any dying team would be to sweep through the old veterans and trade them off for fresh picks, so that they could build the perfect team once more.
