NBA trade rumors: Knicks eyeing younger players to beef up roster?

Could the upcoming offseason cause a major shakeup in the NBA?

It;s possible if New York Knicks Coach Phil Jackson chooses to beef up its roster with young talents to support Kristaps Porzingis.

According to ESPN analyst, the best case scenario would be if three teams agree to trading terms that would change the tone of the lineups for the upcoming season.

If the Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns agree to the terms, three teams stand a bigger chance to improve their standings next season and possibly gun for a championship.

If Jackson wants to stake his faith on younger players, he would get Brandon Knight, Alex Len, P.J. Tucker, Archie Goodwin and the No. 4 and 13 picks of this year's draft. The Cavs will get Carmelo Anthony, Robin Lopez and Eric Bledsoe while the Suns will get Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Mo Williams and Sasha Kaun as the latest additions to their team.

There are also rumors that the Knicks are eyeing Derrick Rose to improve their point guard performance since Jose Calderon has not been as effective in the position as they would like.

The Chicago Bulls star has suffered some setbacks in his performance after suffering a series of injuries, but if he could return to his powerhouse performance before his injuries, he may have a bright future with the Knicks.

If the Knicks do push through with acquiring Rose, it would cost a pretty penny but if his potential is maximized, he would be totally worth it. Rose will be on a one year deal so it would be a matter of renewing or cutting ties with him at the end of the year based on his output.
