NBA trade rumors: Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight connection failing miserably?

For a while, it looks like having two point guards who obviously want the ball in their hands most of the time would work. As of late, that seems to be failing miserably.

The formula seems to be backfiring, with the Phoenix Suns toting a woeful 12–22 card as of report writing.

Everyone knows the shakeup that the Suns have recently had, seeing two assistant coaches getting the boot in what is seen as perhaps a last ditch effort to save head coach Jeff Hornacek's job.

And yet as many have just taken notice, Bledsoe goes down to injury with a torn left meniscus. Seeing the Bledsoe-Knight issue, could this be a blessing in disguise?

In a way it could since it does address the ball handling issue. But for those who have seen the Suns in action, it seems to go way beyond that.

Markieff Morris continues to show fans that he is fine when he is actually not and that alone brings up harmony issues from within.

Tyson Chandler was seen as a good acquisition, someone who could bring veteran presence and beef up the defensive end. Given the number of years he's been playing, Chandler hasn't exactly come out as a beneficial recruit.

Aside from the Morris issue, all other factors in play have, apparently, gone haywire. Chandler's use is seriously tied up with the point guard issue and hard as it is to say, Bledsoe being ruled out for the season could be a blessing.

But that is only if the two point guard approach is put to rest.

Ronnie Price is likely to be elevated to that role Bledsoe had, although he is unlikely to want the ball as frequent as the one he replaced. Still and all, everything depends on how Hornacek manages the team.

The Suns are floundering with the old approach so it depends if Hornacek will listen and take a new approach. Right now, that remains to be seen, although his job could be on the line no matter how fond Suns management is of him.
