NBA trade rumors: Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose may join Sixers; Joakim Noah heading back to former coach in Timberwolves?

NBA trade rumors point to the move of Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose to the Philadelphia 76ers, who, in turn, plans to trade Nerlens Noel to the Bulls.

According to Hoopsrumors, there's no better landing spot for Rose for this year's NBA trade other than the Philadelphia 76ers, which would give the Bulls point guard a "comfortable situation to re-establish himself as a star in this league."

To complete its round of NBA trade, the Sixers are also expected to have veterans Taj Gibson and Mike Dunleavy on its side, making the team a powerful mix of veterans and newcomers.

In other related NBA trade news, Joakim Noah is also looking to leave Chicago Bulls, with the Minnesota Timberwolves ready to welcome the Bulls center with open arms.

According to Sporting News, coach Tom Thibodeau, who once worked with Noah, has locked his former basketball student as their trade target. This pick makes sense, of course, seeing how much this duo has accomplished together.

Thibodeau believes that the Bulls failed to make it to the NBA playoffs as Noah had to sit out the league early this year due to a shoulder injury. Noah's absence was felt by the team.

"I think when you see what happened in Chicago, the Bulls really missed Jo's leadership this season, first and foremost," the Timberwolves coach said.

Thibodeau wants to take advantage of this upcoming NBA trade to have Noah don the Timberwolves jersey and help his team of young and skilled players get a better chance at dominating the playoffs next season.

Meanwhile, Rose isn't the only one leaving the Bulls. Jimmy Butler might soon be headed to Boston Celtics, who has taken interest in the shooting guard and small forward. Reports say that this trade has long been in discussion since early this year and that it may come to fruition soon.
