NBA trade rumors 2016: Miami Heat finally deal Chris Andersen

Three teams made a move recently, seeing four players changing zip codes which will hopefully help out their respective team's causes.

The Miami Heat finally found a way to deal Chris Andersen who will now be suiting up for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Andersen coming should help ease the burden of the Grizzlies at the slot following the season-ending injury (broken foot) to star center Marc Gasol.

The aging 'Birdman' was dealt together with two second round picks in exchange for guard Brian Roberts.

The Charlotte Hornets, on the other hand, were able to secure the services of Courtney Lee who will likely fill in the void left by the injured Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. MKG has been ruled out for the season following a shoulder injury.

The Hornets had to give up Roberts and PJ Hairston in the process. Hairston will try start anew and fit into the system of head coach David Joerger for the underachieving Grizzlies.

Lee should be a big boost to the cause of coach Steve Clifford who revealed that the 30-year-old vet will be inserted into the starting lineup of Memphis. Lee has been known for his outside shooting and could be the sniper that the team has been looking for.

While the Grizzlies and the Hornets may have filled up key positions in their lineup, the Miami Heat seems to be more concerned about its tax savings issues.

With Andersen out, the Heat get a $2.1 million reprieve. Unfortunately, the deal may have come at a bad time, with Chris Bosh's blood clot issue cropping up again.

Just the same, the Heat should get a lot of breathing room with Andersen gone. Roberts could help out in the guard rotation, giving coach Erik Spoelstra another player to use just in case the starting guards (Goran Dragić and Dwyane Wade) fall to injuries once again.
