One of the aspects gamers are looking forward to seeing prior to the release of "NBA 2K16" is the player ratings, and game company 2K Sports just released the list showing which basketball superstars were at the top of their game and which ones stood out in their field.

Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies was hailed the best among the NBA teams' centers, with Sacramento Kings' DeMarcous Cousins within spitting distance and Dwight Howard of the Houston Rockets securing the third spot.

Cover star Anthony Davis was declared the best power forward. Stephen Curry, who sharp-shot Golden State Warriors into the championship and also happens to be on the cover of "NBA 2K16" was, to no one's surprise, crowned this year's best point guard with a 93 rating.

Finally, with a rating of 92, the best shooting guard was James Harden of the Houston Rockets, the third cover star for the game. The ratings won't be complete without Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James, who topped the list of the top 10 small forwards. Close behind was Thunder's Kevin Durant.

Meanwhile, in related "NBA 2K16" news, 2K Sports released a trailer teasing that the "NBA 2KTV" will be "back and better than ever." The premiere episode will air on Sept. 25, and fans can expect NBA stars and 2K developers stopping by for interviews and giving training tips for the game.

The game cover stars, along with other basketball icons and personalities, will sit down for interviews with host Rachel DeMita. Even Spike Lee, who developed the MyCareer mode for the game, will drop by to showcase behind-the-scenes footage of the making of what is deemed the most genuine, cinematic mode yet.

Apart from that, "NBA 2KTV" also gives gamers the chance to get more rewards in "NBA 2K16," such as more VC and MyPark exclusive events by voting, joining community polls as well as participating in trivia games.

"NBA 2K16" will be released on Sept. 29.
