'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' news: Season Pass and post-launch content detailed by Bandai Namco

 Naruto Games website

Months before the release of the last installment in the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm" series, publisher Bandai Namco has announced a new treat for fans of the franchise.

The publisher updated the official website for the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4." In an announcement (translated from Japanese by Gematsu), the publisher details a Season Pass for players. There is also an additional perk for players who will purchase the Season Pass.

Once the Season Pass has been accessed, it will also give an exclusive Combination Sectret Technique, which can be used in the game. However, it is not mentioned if the secret skill will vary per character, or if there is only one technique available for all Season Pass holders.

In addition, the announcement also lists post-launch content for the title.

When "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" launches next year, it will have at least three add-ons for players to choose from. Each DLC pack will cost 700 yen, or about $6. The first and second packs will add scenarios to the game, and each one will be at least three hours long.

In addition, there will also be additional bonus items such as new character costumes, info cards and complete item sets. The third DLC, meanwhile, is a playable character pack. Four additional playable characters will be unlocked, as well as additional items such as new item sets and combination secret techniques. Gamers who have played since the beginning of the "Ultimate Ninja Storm" series will also like a bonus in the third DLC – there will be ten bonus costumes from previous games.

The list for the three DLC packs were translated and put up on different observers like Gematsu and Gamespot.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" launches on Feb. 4 in Japan and Feb. 5 in Europe and Feb. 9 in North America. The title will roll out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
