 Viz Media, Studio Pierrot

In the previous episode, the story of Otsutsuki Kaguya and her twin sons Hagoromo and Hamura finally conluded. As such, episode 463 of "Naruto Shippuden" is expected to return to its storyline where the fight between Naruto, Sasuke and the revived Kaguya rages on.

This upcoming episode is entitled "The Unexpected Number One!" which is expected to show the two protagonists trying their utmost to seal off Kaguya once more. As the flashback from the previous episode ends, it is shown that Naruto and Sasuke don't have chakra left, but it could still be possible for them to defeat Kaguya with the power given to them by Hagoromo. This could prove to be a tough battle, since Kaguya's power still far surpasses their own.

Also, according to Yibada, the episode will also feature Hagoromo's children, Indra and Ashura, Naruto and Sasuke's reincarnations, respectively. The story will revolve around the rivalry between these siblings as well as the decision of the Sage of Six Paths that ignited the war between the Uchiha and Senju clans.

Episode 462 basically gave everyone an idea about the epic battle that ensued between Kaguya and her children. After learning their mother's secret as she was sacrificing people to the Divine Tree, the ancient sage toad Gamamaru revealed that this Tree is also sapping the land's energy. With this, the Divine Tree will one day cause the world to wither and die. The ancient toad also told Hagoromo about a great battle that would happen after discovering their mother's secret.

Hamura was mind-controlled by Kaguya after defeating him, around the same time as Hagoromo mastered the Sage technique. They fought, killing Hamura in the process. However, he was revived by Hagaromo and they fought Kaguya on such a scale that it shattered the world after months of fighting, which ended with the brothers' victory by sealing their mother off on the moon.
