Fans of "Narcos" need not wait for long because the show is coming back to Netflix on Sept. 2. With this, everyone is excited as to the exciting new developments this new season can offer.

After all, season 1 was fast-paced, so a lot of viewers are wondering just how "Narcos" season 2 will go from there. According to the Parent Herald, season 2 will feature the demise of Pablo Escobar, the drug kingpin. However, producers of the show hinted that the death of this character will not mean the end of the show.

As a matter of fact, other rumors state that Escobar's death will bring about the introduction of other drug trade facets in the United States as well as Latin America. Because of this, fans are excited that a third season of "Narcos" might be in the making.

iDigitalTimes report that Pedro Bromfman, producer of the series, points out that the second season will focus on the fall of Escobar and the Medellin Cartel, as well as the rise of the Cali cartel. Season 2, therefore, will start by introducing a lot of new characters, which will eventually lead to understanding how the situation expanded from Medellin to Cali, as well as the events that led to it.

Bromfman even said that as long as people are buying drugs, there will always be bad guys who will provide them while killing other people and doing other things. He even went so far as to say that it's unstoppable as long as it's illegal and the demand is present.

In any case, it could also be possible that "Narcos" season 2 will be more action-packed compared to season 1. Wagner Moura, who plays Escobar, said that it's going to be all about chasing and finally catching him, as noted by Entertainment Weekly.
