The release notes proving that Motorola is ready to roll out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Moto X 2013 and Moto X 2014 versions were finally unveiled, which means that the first two versions of the brand's flagship smartphone will finally get the highly anticipated mobile operating system. 

Motorola posted the Android 5.1 Lollipop release notes for both versions of the Moto X on its official global website, stating that the new Lollipop update will address bugs and other problems brought by the first Android 5.0 Lollipop rollout. 

According to the release notes, "We are excited to announce a new software update for Moto X (1st Gen.) by Motorola. This update brings Android 5.1 Lollipop to your phone along with other improvements."

Some of the bug fixes include:

  • Clock in the status bar that does not update and the alarms are having problems in going off
  • Bugs that cannot delete SMS messages even when the SIM card is already full
  • No ringer audio while an outgoing call is in progress
  • Calculator has floating point calculations
  • Constant Chrome crashes whenever it has been launch
  • Constant restarts while user is watching a movie/TV series on Netflix
  • Wi-Fi fail to automatically reconnect to the user's home Wi-Fi
  • Wi-Fi fail to connect after being idle for an entire night
  • Wi-Fi connection problems with multiple routers in one location
  • Bluetooth discovery fails to launch when users refresh settings
  • Remove CPU wakelocks that contribute to faster battery drain
  • Fix connection and synchronization problems with MS Exchange servers
  • Incorrect default APN
  • Cannot unlock the SIM using a PIN/PUK code
  • Cannot play the 'pinned' content
  • General stability improvements

There is no official rollout date yet for the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the two older versions of Motorola's flagship smartphones.
