New Moto X and Moto G 2015: Motorola coming with big announcement on July 28

It looks like tech manufacturer Motorola is gearing up for something big before the month ends.

In its official company blog, the smartphone maker announced that it has great news to share to its legions of fans worldwide on July 28. With a tag, "Your relationship status is about to change," Motorola hints at some big announcements about its smartphone line, and asks users to "...tune in to find your perfect Moto match."

Although the announcement comes across as a general save-the-date post, most Motorola observers have already read deep into the statements and guessed about the upcoming livestream event. According to some pundits, Motorola is gearing up to reveal some of its new products such as the Moto X and new Moto G.

The speculations about Motorola revealing their new product lineups come July 28 seem to have some grain of truth to them, as these past few weeks saw a lot of purported leaked images and spec sheets showcasing the upcoming Moto phones. Just recently, reports of leaked images of the chassis and screens of the new Moto G surfaced. Also, what could've been the specs for the most-anticipated 3rd-gen Moto X also surfaced.

According to the leaks, the Moto X 2015 will sport a 5.2-inch AMOLED panel display which will give the handset a QHD resolution. In addition, it will accommodate Motorola's Clear Pixel technology for its 16-MP main shooter, with a 5-MP camera at the front. It is also reported to come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop right out of the box, although some skeptics have pointed out that if the new Android M version is launched first, then Motorola may well decide to tinker a bit with the platform in order for the Moto X 2015 to come out with the newest Android system.
