Moto X Style vs. OnePlus 2 specs comparison: Two new phones

One of the most recent releases in the smartphone market is the OnePlus 2, China-based OnePlus' followup to its touted flagship killer, the OnePlus One.  Also released recently is the Moto X Style, this year's iteration of the Moto X and Motorola's current flagship handset.

With known upcoming premium smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and a new Apple iPhone already near the horizon, both Motorola and OnePlus place their current products as better alternatives. Which of the two can be the vaunted "flagship killer" in terms of individual specs?

One of the many factors that users look for in a smartphone is how the device handles, its build and look. In this, the two recent additions to the smartphone market have almost the same dimensions. However, the Moto X Style went for the bigger form factor, with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, as opposed to the OnePlus 2's slightly smaller 5.5-inch Full HD screen.

Under the hood

The OnePlus 2's processor is the much-newer Snapdragon 810 against the new Moto X's 808 chipset. This might be due to the former also offering two RAM options, coming in at either 3 GB or 4 GB, depending on the storage. The Moto X, on the other hand, has 3 GB of RAM for both its 32 and 64 GB storage versions.

Although the OnePlus 2 seems to be more powerful, the Moto X steps up in the storage feature since it has expandable microSD support for up to 128 GB. The OnePlus 2, on the other hand, only offers fixed 16 or 64 GB of storage.

The Moto X also has the higher camera specs, with a 21 MP main shooter at the back and a 5 MP front-facing camera. However, the OnePlus 2's image and video recording features are better supported in terms of longevity, since it has a higher-rated 3300 mAh battery.
