Although tech giant Motorola has already slated their big surprise for next week, it seems that inadvertently, someone has jumped the gun and spilled a few secrets about the upcoming event.
In a promotional video post, Brazilian retailer Americanas laid out the specs of one of Motorola's upcoming flagship devices, the Moto G (3rd Gen). The video, which was already pulled out, bared the specs for the upcoming device. Seemingly confirming earlier guesses about the flagship, the upcoming Moto G is reported to be coming out with a 5-inch HD display with 720p resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a Snapdragon 410 processor, and microSD expansion for up to 32 GB. In addition, the new Moto G will also feature a 13 MP main shooter at the back and 5 MP camera on the front, and will also roll out with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 right out of the box.
Meanwhile, Motorola may also have accidentally revealed too much information about the upcoming Moto G even before the official reveal. In the customization options on the Moto Maker website, there appeared a personalized device page list for the upcoming phone. Motorola quickly corrected the error and pulled the page down, but not before some keen observers, chief among them tech site The Verge, had the page screen grabbed.
Based on the post, the Moto G (3rd Gen) will come in either a white or black front panel. Meanwhile, users who would like to personalize their Moto G can choose from a variety of colors for the back panel, with additional 10 options for accents. The upcoming device will also come out in two expandable storage options, and users can choose from 8 GB or 16 GB, both with 2 GB of RAM.
The new Moto G is expected to be revealed during Motorola's big announcement at the end of the month, and fans say that the device is the mid-range equivalent of its competitors. Another, more premium flagship Motorola device is also believed to be announced during the event, the new Moto X (3rd Gen).
