'Mortal Kombat X': new patch out on PS4, Xbox One and PC version releasing soon

Reptile's Klassic Skin, one of the features included in the new patch for 'Mortal Kombat X'. NetherRealms

When the new title "Mortal Kombat X" came out, developer NetherRealm Studios promised a slew of expansion packs that would come with interesting items for hardcore fans and casual gamers alike. Many of the goodies that have been rolled out came in the form of free playable characters, while others were put into the spotlight because of slight issues, such as the case of Easy Fatalities and Krypt unlocks that came as paid items.

The next DLC expansion to come out for the fighting game is like the previous ones. With a Klassic Sub-Zero skin already out and a new playable Jason Vorhees now among playable Kombatants in the fighter roster, "Mortal Kombat X" will have a new patch in the form of improvements in the gameplay and interface, new character facelifts, and a Klassic Reptile skin. It was also reported that some hidden gem regarding the next DLC fighter is contained within the new patch.

The new patch brings out some gameplay improvements in terms of fixes. For example, players can no longer cancel into enhanced interactions during the first 10 frames of some block stuns; this means that players cannot "fake" moves by trying to start skill animation and then cancelling it.

There is also an added unlock counter in the Krypt, improved player skill rating algorithm, and movelist frame data corrections.

Meanwhile, Attack of the Fanboy reports that in the new patch, there are some screens for Tanya already available on the Finisher page, listing Fatality and Brutality moves where the Kombatant knocks out the hearts of her enemies right from their bodies. Having Tanya already listed might mean the character will appear in the next DLC, and not later in the year as was previously reported.

The patch for the "Mortal Kombat X" title is already available for PlayStation 4 gamers, with the Xbox One and PC versions soon to follow.
