Despite earlier reports, a lot of fans are disappointed that the EVO 2016 that took place in Last Vegas did not bring any new updates on the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X" DLC, "Kombat Pack 3."

However, despite of this, Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studio executive, teased fans about the new DLC's release on Twitter, despite them saying that he lied about his EVO 2016 announcement regarding the game. Again, he promised that something for "Mortal Kombat X" will be up soon, so fans need not worry about anything. He even joked that he also missed the announcement at the event.

Regardless, a lot of fans still believe that this new "Kombat Pack 3" will bring changes for SubZero and Tremor. According to the Parent Herald, before the EVO event, Boon asked fans in a poll about the original cast characters and DLC fighters that need to be buffed in the game. He posted these results via his Twitter account, with around 31 percent picking Tremor and 35 percent choosing SubZero.

As such, rumors say the poll was to help NetherRealm Studios decide the characters to be updated in "Kombat Pack 3." However, fans are not only expecting character updates; after all, they also want to see characters like Fujin, Sindel, and Smoke to show up via this DLC update, since the previous DLC pack did not include them. When "Kombat Pack 2" was launched in March 2016, it instead featured other characters such as Xenomorph, Leatherface, Triborg and Bo'Rai Cho.

For now, even if the release date for this DLC pack is yet to be confirmed, Cross Map notes that Boon himself previously confirmed its imminent release, just not as early as some fans hoped. This could be due to the fact that the company is still busy with another game, "Injustice 2."

"Mortal Kombat X" can be played on the PS4, Xbox One, PC and some mobile devices.
