'Mortal Kombat X' DLC release date news 2016: 'Kombat Pack 3' DLC delayed due to problems with 'Injustice 2,' according to rumors

A lot of eager fans are already expecting the new "Mortal Kombat X" downloadable content (DLC) pack to be released any time soon. The new DLC — called the "Kombat Pack 3" — is one of the most anticipated expansion packs for the game, but it seems like it is going to get delayed even more due to the fact that NetherRealm Studios is focusing on their new "Injustice 2" game.

According to Counsel & Heal, "Mortal Kombat X" had a pretty stellar performance at its launch, with a lot of fans giving it a positive review. However, with the lack of additional content lately, it seems that fans are starting to get bored with the hit violent fighting game.

As such, even with the variety of characters, fatalities, and general action in the well-known title, a lot of players have been a little sour when it comes to their recent attitude towards the game.

The possible cause for the shift in attitude is due to the studio's focus on their upcoming 2017 games. After all, it seems that the game is shifting NetherRealm Studios's focus entirely on "Injustice 2," a crossover DC universe fighting game with assorted superheroes and villains. Most of the avid "Mortal Kombat" fans are now feeling betrayed and left out.

Furthermore, according to the Movie News Guide, a lot of gamers are questioning the reason behind NetherRealm Studio's obsession with the "Injustice" sequel, to the point of forgetting about "Mortal Kombat X." Game developers usually work on multiple games at the same time period, and it begs the question as to why "Kombat Pack 3" is yet to be seen.

Some of the rumors, however, say that "Injustice 2" has been having some big issues and as such the studio is worried about its launch in 2017. This could be one of the main reasons why no actual release date has been provided for the game just yet, as well as the "Kombat Pack 3" DLC.
