'Mortal Kombat X' DLC Kombat Pack 2 character rumors: Terminator coming as an add-on fighter?

"Mortal Kombat X" players are welcoming more fighters to the game's roster with the long-rumored Kombat Pack 2. The title's co-creator and NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon has been teasing via Twitter which kombatants are coming next.

There are rumors that The Terminator, which is already coming to the "WWE 2K16" ring, might join the brutal brawling in "Mortal Kombat X." Just recently, Boon replied to a fan who teased that Arnie wants to join the party.

As a reply, Boon confirmed that NetherRealm actually considered adding the iconic character to the well-loved game. But he never made it out of the drawing board and Boon did not reveal, unfortunately, why the time-travelling mechanoid did not make it as a DLC character.

With that piece of the puzzle still missing, fans turn to Kombat Pack 2 for the Terminator to be included in the game. The character should look good lined up with Predator and Jason Voorhees, which are also celebrated movie characters that became "Mortal Kombat X" kombatants through the Kombat Pack 1.

According to reports, Kombat Pack 2 will also be composed of four additional characters. With Terminator speculated to be included in the list, rumor mills claim the other three could be Baraka, Rain and Sindel. Not too long ago, when "Mortal Kombat X" was freshly launched, a modder found a way to play as the aforementioned fighters.

Their fighting styles are apparently installed in the game files, which gave the impression that they are coming to the game eventually. But to lessen the predictability, some reports claim that NetherRealm might go for trio Bo' Rai Cho, Fujin and Kabal instead. There are also speculations on Sektor's and Alien's inclusion, too.

Whichever characters make it to Kombat Pack 2, Boon said that "the whole world's coming together now."
