It carries the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine which offers a slight bump in horsepower to 78. That is four more than the previous 74 horsepower that its predecessor carried, although it remains to be seen what Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fuel-economy ratings the latest vehicle has to offer.
On the outside, the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage offers a redesigned hood complimented with new chrome grills. In all, the new variant carries an aerodynamic design which should account for reduced weight and resulting in better fuel efficiency. The 14-inch or 15-inch alloy wheels cap the overall exterior of the latest Mitsubishi Mirage from the outside.
Rides stand to be a whole lot better with the handling and brakes promising big improvement with the optimized spring rates as well as better shock absorbers for improved control and stability.
Inside, the new Mitsubishi Mirage offers improved seat fabrics, gauges, and a new steering wheel. For the infotainment part, the vehicle comes with a 300-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system, not to mention the first car to offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for more pampering travels ahead.
Safety features are also all-around for the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage, something that includes a seven-airbag system, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring, and active stability control.
The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage is expected to be made available in the Spring of 2016, with pricing details likely to be made known by then.
