More interesting characters are set to be introduced in the upcoming season of ABC's mystery drama "Mistresses."

Earlier this month, the network announced that "Scandal" star Brian White will join the show in season three. He is presently known as Olivia Pope's new love interest Russell, who might have some questionable motives why he decided to start a relationship with Scandal's lead character. But in Mistresses, White will portray the role of Blair, the new headmaster of the school where Lucy (Corrine Massiah), April's (Rochelle Aytes) daughter, is currently studying.

Blair could be causing more drama between April and her daughter in the upcoming season of Mistresses, since he could have a big impact on April's love life. But he will not be the only one who will make April's life extra harder, after TVLine reported that April's mother will also be introduced in one of the episodes this season.

According to the spoiler from TVLine, April's mother Majorie will visit her unexpectedly. The show is allegedly looking for a 60-something actress of African-American descent who can portray the role of a higly-respected Circuit Court judge. Marjorie and April do not have the ideal mother-daughter relationship, which makes her appearance this season really interesting.

Aside from Blair and Marjorie, another major character had been added in the third season of Mistresses. "Blue Blood's" Jennifer Esposito was casted earlier this year as the "new mistress" Calista Raines. She is described as Joss' (Jes Macallan) new "friend, mentor and surrogate sister," after her real sister Savi (Alyssa Milano) left.

Esposito stepped into the vacant slot left by Milano when she decided not to return to the series after season two. Milano quit because the network decided to move the filming location from Los Angeles to Vancouver.

Mistresses Season 3 is expected to premiere on June 18 with a two-hour special.
