It is highly anticipated that the fifth generation of Surface Pro will be unveiled next week. It is predicted to follow the release timeline of its predecessor last year.

Rumors suggest that the Surface Pro 5 will see the light of day on Oct. 26 at an event in New York City. However, this event is said to be something related to Windows 10, as the invite from Microsoft shows.

PC Advisor reported that gadget fans are still anticipating that the upcoming hybrid tablet will showcase the latest Intel processor, the Kaby Lake chip, with its added hardware features, superior processing power, and efficient power consumption.

It is also believed to offer a 4K display capability for its high-end model, while the entry-level model will be equipped with a 2K display, similar to its predecessor. Both models will also start at least 16 GB of RAM. A USB Type-C port is expected to arrive on the device along with the Mini DisplayPort, microSD card slot, and an audio jack.

A revamped Surface Pen is also speculated to arrive with the alleged device that is equipped with a rechargeable battery instead of a disposable alkaline AAAA battery. It is suggested that it will be attached to the side of the tablet through a magnet, which could also act as its charging port. Its storage will also have an upgrade, with a 2 TB as the highest option, while other choices include 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

Meanwhile, other reports also suggest that the Surface Pro 5 will be unveiled by next year. Microsoft is expected to discuss things related to Windows 10, most probably about the upcoming Redstone 2.

There are also reports that other Surface products will be shown to the public as well. These include the Surface All-In-One Desktop, which will reportedly be offered in three models: a 21-inch that bears a full HD resolution, a 24-inch model with 4K resolution, and 27-inch model which also has 4K resolution.

Microsoft has not said a word about any upcoming Surface products.
