It is that time of the year again and perhaps the best one considering Christmas is just around the corner. Microsoft is, of course, in line to get in the holiday mood, and it may all start once they unveil a slew of new devices at a scheduled (big) press event next week in New York.
Expected to be unveiled are the new Lumia 950 and 950 XL handsets, the Microsoft Band 2, and, of course, the much awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
For now, the focus of this article will be on the highly regarded laplet. Right now, there is no clear word on what the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will have to offer, although improvements from its predecessor, the Surface Pro 3, is to be expected.
The Surface Pro 4 will reportedly come with a bigger display and thinner bezels. The display seems to be one of the highlights of the upcoming device, one that will offer higher resolution which could be either 4K or 5K.
It is likely to be lighter than its predecessor. On what modifications were done physically remains unknown, although the docking part may likely be left unchanged.
Chances are its Stylus could be better as well. This could entail major improvements as far as the Surface Pro 4 accuracy is concerned as well as better touch sensitivity.
Aside from that, there is not much improvements (externally) to be expected. Internally, we could see a big bump in RAM, which could be around 16 GB, and larger storage space of perhaps 1 TB.
Other accessories could include a fingerprint scanner or maybe even a Surface Type Cover, which should allow users to log on to Windows 10 easier. Cameras will reportedly be included, but the thing is it doesn't seem to be supported by Windows Hello, which would have made it easier for folks to log on to Windows through face recognition.
Could these rumors be accurate? All that should be answered by Oct. 6 when the event kicks off starting at 10 a.m. EST or 7 a.m. PST.
