Microsoft Surface Pro 3 discounts available as Surface Pro 4 launch looms ahead

 Microsoft Store

With most folks awaiting the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is believed to be coming out this October, the Surface Pro 3 is now being offered at lowered prices.

In general, the Surface Pro 3 devices are being offered at $150 off the original price. A look at the Microsoft Store will offer a slashed price of the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 by about $150, not a bad deal and obviously something made as the release of its successor, the Surface Pro 4, draws near.

Take note that the price off involves only three Surface Pro 3 models. This doesn't include the 128GB model that runs on i7. Apparently, the said model has been sold out and is no longer available.

Below are some of the models that are still available as itemized by CNET:

  • Surface Pro 3 – Inter Core i5 with 256GB for $1,149 (previously $1,299)
  • Surface Pro 3 – Inter Core i7 with 256GB for $1,399 (previously $1,549)
  • Surface Pro 3 – Inter Core i7 with 512GB for $1,799 (previously $1,949)

A complete list may be found at the Microsoft Store.

Last month, Microsoft provided, for a limited time, a bigger discount of $200 for select models — 128GB 4GB Surface Pro 3 ($799) and 256GB 8GB Surface Pro 3 ($1,099).

Until the Surface Pro 4 comes around, folks who have been eagerly interested in the flexible laplet may want to take up Microsoft on their offer. Furthermore, it is believed that the current batches will already sport the recently revealed Window 10 operating system (OS).

With about two months to go, the Surface Pro 3's price could go down further. But by that time, most of the focus will be on the Surface Pro 4. Also, expect your choices to be smaller since the old stocks of Surface Pro 3s are simply being cleaned out as we speak.

Hence, if you are curious about the Surface Pro 3 and looking to get one with some savings, it may be best to get one now.
