Michael Schumacher condition update 2016: F1 legend is reportedly reacting

According to a report by News Everyday, Michael Schumacher, the legendary former F1 racer who sustained a major injury over two years ago in a dreadful ski accident, is now reacting. This is the first time in months that someone has given any news on the former racer's health. This is good news, since the last time fans heard from Luca Di Montezemolo, the former president of Ferrari said that Schumacher's condition did not look as well as could be expected.

Di Montezemolo appears to be a very close friend of the family and seems to be hoping for a full recovery by the former F1 star. He mentioned that Schumacher's determination and inner strength will positively affect his recovery. It's apparent that the former head of Ferrari is fervently hoping for a full recovery. The former champ has been undergoing major treatment for fatal injuries to his head ever since he had a ski accident in 2013.

DNA India, meanwhile, reports that Schumacher will be awarded with the inaugural "Nurburgring Award" trophy. This trophy will be awarded at a ceremony later in May. It will be collected by his former manager, Sabine Kehm. Norbert Haug, the previous director at Mercedes, stated that the champ deserves the award more than anyone else, and that this will encourage him more to recover and return to his life's work.

There will also be a soccer match held in Schumacher's honor headlined by Sebastian Vettel. This match, titled Champions for Charity, will take place in the Coface Arena this July 27. Eager fans will see skilled drivers take on NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki's team before the German Grand Prix. According to ESPN, Vettel says it is a great introduction to the Grand Prix in honor of the country's most successful driver.
