Publisher and developer Konami has just released the system requirements for its upcoming major title, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain." According to the list, both minimum and recommended requirements are almost the same as the specs for running "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes."
For players who wish to check out the game but does not know if their computers will run the game, the minimum requirements start with a 64-bit Windows 7 or Windows 8 platform, an Intel Core i5 or its quad-core equivalent or better, and at least 4 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, graphics requirements for a stunning visual experience, which is a staple of previous "Metal Gear Solid" releases, will require at least a GeForce GTX 650 with 2 GB dedicated RAM or a better equivalent, with DirectX 11 support, and at least a DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card.
The game also requires at least 26 GB available of free space.
Meanwhile, to get the most out of the game, Konami's recommended specs include the same OS and DirectX 11 requirements. However, the processor should be at least an Intel Core i7 or better, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or better video cards for maximum visuals.
Since Konami has already released the system requirements, the company has also announced that contrary to the original schedule, the PC version of "MGS V: The Phantom Pain" will also roll out on the same date that the console versions will be released, on Sept. 1.
The PC version was originally scheduled to be released on Sept. 15. However, the PC version's development will be finished much earlier than expected.
Said Tomotada Tashiro, Konami president, about the simultaneous roll-out: "We initially did not think it would be possible to get such an epic game out onto PC in time for launch alongside its console counterparts, but all involved have worked diligently to meet the demands of our PC consumers."
