Rumors that "Married at First Sight" season 3 will not push through are still making rounds in the Internet even after the reality show's producers have already given the go signal for its renewal. This time, the purported reason for the axe is that Jessica Castro of last installment is being threatened by her husband Ryan De Nino for filing for divorce.

Daily Mail reports that Castro has been receiving death threats from De Nino when she attempted to leave him. He is reportedly threatening to kill her and her family after she filed for separation papers on grounds of his infidelity. Due to the bad press that the show generates, the producers are reportedly rethinking their decision to push through with the third installment. The series drew negative comments from viewers, as the couples of the previous seasons ended up divorcing.

All three couples from season 2 have separated. As for the two pairs who managed to stay together in the premiere installment, they are currently starring on "Married at First Sight: The First Year" season 2, which began airing last Oct. 13. According to Venture Capital Post, the reality show will be replaced with "Seven Year Switch." But as "Marriage at First Sight" has been slated to air in December, this remains to be a speculation.

Meanwhile, it has been previously reported that season 3 will be set in Georgia. If the first two installments featured couples from the New York area, this time, all of the pairs to be chosen will be from Atlanta.

Viewers will still see the four specialists — Dr. Joseph Cilona (psychologist), Dr. Logan Levkoff (sexologist), Dr. Pepper Schwartz (sociologist), and Greg Epstein (spiritual advisor) — accountable for putting them together via "scientific matchmaking."

Season 3 will also be slightly longer than the previous installments, as it will now run for an hour and 15 minutes. The two-hour premiere of "Married at First Sight" season 3 will air on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 9 p.m. EST on FYI.
