Manchester United will play Swansea to kick off the English Premier League season on Saturday, and after an extremely disappointing season last year, United will be hoping to get their new campaign off to the perfect start with a win at Old Trafford.

Today's game will be an early start at 12.45 p.m. BST (7.45 a.m. EST) and can be watched online through live stream – free for NBC Sports Network subscribers - via the link provided below.

In team news, left-back Luke Shaw has suffered a hamstring injury, with reports claiming that he could be out for up to a month.

United start the season with a stream of injuries, including Jonny Evans, who missed Tuesday's friendly win over Valencia. It is likely that he will join Antonio Valencia and Michael Carrick on the injury list for Louis van Gaal's first game in charge.

Manchester United will be massive favorites to win today, having never lost a home league game against Swansea. In 11 games, they have won 9 and drawn two. In the Premier League era, United have won five and drawn one of their six encounters until now.

New manager Louis van Gaal will be looking to significantly improve on United's showing last season, when they finished outside the top six in the Premier League for the first time since the 1989-90 season, when they ended the season in 13th place.

Van Gaal will no doubt not only be looking to regain a top four spot, but will believe that his team has what it takes to regain the title from their local City neighbors.

Today's game between Manchester United and Swansea will kick off at 12.45 p.m. BST (7.45 a.m. EST), and can be watched online by clicking here.
