President Dalton (Keith Carradine) better prepare as Russia gears for an all-out war against the United States in the upcoming episode of the political drama series "Madam Secretary."

CBS has not yet released a synopsis for episode 10, but based on what transpired in "Russian Roulette," war is brewing between the two countries. Maria Ostrov (Angela Gots) was extremely pissed after the POTUS accused her of masterminding the attack on Air Force One. With Elizabeth's (Téa Leoni) counsel, they cut off the power lines in Moscow and caused a major blackout. Ostrov retaliated by turning off three pipelines that provide almost half of Western Europe's gas supply.

Because of what happened, Europe was reconsidering its alliance with the United States, a situation that spelled disaster for the latter. Dalton would not back down and wanted to hit back on Russia; Elizabeth recommended that they take it to the United Nations. She was supposed to deliver a speech in front of the leaders of the world and expose Russia for what it has done. But before she could do so, her husband Henry (Tim Daly) told her that Russia did not attack the President's aircraft.

Henry received intel from Dmitri (Chris Petrovski ) that there was nothing in Russia's playbook that stated any plans of attacking the Air Force One. He already approached Russell (Zeljko Ivanek) about what he knew, but the latter cautioned him that he and Elizabeth would go to prison if what he was saying was not true. Because of what Henry said, Elizabeth decided to forgo her speech at the U.N. Instead, she asked Matt (Geoffrey Arend) and Jay (Sebastian Arcelus) to do further investigation.

It turned out President Bozek (Lev Gorn) of Ukraine hatched the plan against the United States. He wanted to stop Russia from taking over his country and needed the backing of the United States. Unfortunately for Dalton's administration, they already announced the alliance between the two countries. Backing out meant Russia would attack Ukraine. Already, Ostrov had sent a plane over the territory even with the no-fly zone imposition. Dalton then issued an order to take it down. Is this the start of an ugly war between Russia and the United States?

According to Futon Critic, there will still be two more episodes before the series goes in a long hiatus. For now, episode 10 is scheduled to air on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
