While Apple fans were disappointed over the lack of official announcement of the release date of the MacBook Pro 2016 at the World Wide Developers Conference 2016, there is still hope that the laptop will still come out before the end of the year.

According to a report by Christian Times Tech Section, if Apple does not wait for its latest processor the Kaby Lake and opts for the Skylake processor for the laptop that is currently being used by the company, it could come out within the year, which makes it a perfect gift for those wanting to replace their current devices if it happens to come out in time for the holidays.

It could also be the cheapest affordable laptop to come out of the company, the report further suggested.

The Macbook Pro 2016 is also expected to feature an OLED display touch bar that could substitute the function keys above the keyboard. Renowned Apple expert Ming Chi Kuo also said that the laptop will come out with USB-C ports and Thunderbolt 3.

The laptop could also utilize a Touch ID fingerprint sensor as an added security feature and incorporate a Dark Mode and Do Not Disturb function.

Aside from being lighter and slimmer than its predecessors, fans will also reportedly have the option to avail of the 13 inch model or the 15 inch model.

It can be recalled that the last time the Cupertino-based giant released a Macbook Pro was in 2013.

Meanwhile, a report from Yahoo news suggested that Apple is already laying down the groundwork for the release by gradually phasing out its non Retina Pro which got its last update in 2012.

According to sources, Apple has started removing the 13 inch laptop from its sales locations, which could strongly indicate that it is preparing for the arrival of the new device.

Sources have heavily speculated that it will arrive by the last quarter of this year so unless Apple makes the official announcement soon, fans should do well to scour the internet for rumors and theories on the new laptop.
