MacBook Pro 2016 news: Release date possibly pushed back by iPad Air 3

2015 model of the MacBook Pro, the current model available Apple

It was previously reported that the MacBook Pro 2016 may be able to see a December release date in order to take advantage of the shopping spree associated with the holidays. However, a new report from Yibada points that the device might be delayed to early 2016 due to the release of the iPad Air 3.

The iPad Pro is the newest tablet design from Apple and is expected to be the largest iPad variation as well as the most powerful. It is expected to release before the end of November and Apple may want to give some space between releases to give the iPad Air 3 more time under the spotlight.

Releasing both devices at the same time might cause them to compete with each other. Because of this, Apple is reportedly going to push back the MacBook Pro until early 2016 so that each device may receive the proper attention. After all, the iPad Air 3 was not released simultaneously with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus for the same reasons.

The only contradictory evidence is a new report from Pike's Universum that shows a bit of code from the Mac OS X El Capitan. The line of code reveals that there is a new Mac Pro coming out just around the corner, although there is no confirmation if this is indeed the MacBook Pro 2016, an iMac or something else entirely.

If this line of code is true then it is possible that the MacBook Pro 2016 will still release by late December or the notion of releasing "soon" may also pertain to early January next year. At the moment, Apple has refrained from releasing any official news or announcements to clear up the rumors as the company is focusing on the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and the upcoming iPad Pro.

When it does release, it is expected to feature the new Intel Skylake-U processors, advanced touch features and better battery life compared to its predecessors.
