The 2016 MacBook Air has yet to be seen, something that was particularly absent when Apple unveiled its new line of MacBooks and now, there is a rumor saying that if it does come out, it will be the last one to be expected.

As everyone perhaps know by now, the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro were believed to be purposely set aside to allow another product — the iPad Pro — gain ground. But with the said device already out in the open, attention has now focused on the Apple laptop, which unfortunately has yet to come out

There are some speculating a release by December while others have held off for a potential spring 2016 release. But even more intriguing are the thoughts shared by experts that Apple will be permanently shelving it with the belief that the trend these days is all about providing more mobile devices than the traditional laptops.

And that niche apparently points to the iPad Pro, which Apple is aggressively pushing against rival Microsoft's Surface Pro.

Regardless, there are still some who are eager to get hold of the device despite its uncertain future. But seeing the company armed with lots of products it can offer its customers, it could be time to give the iPad Pro a closer look if it can indeed suffice over the traditional MacBook Air.

Among the features that the MacBook Air is reportedly sporting, according to Macworld UK, include a Retina display as well as a Touch ID feature which can be found within its Trackpad. Force Touch could also be found on the device possibly running on an Intel Skylake processor.

Right now, the release of the MacBook Air seems a bit cloudy, although there are still some likely to want to get their hands on the super thin and super light laptop, especially the ones who prefer the traditional computing devices over the modern mobile ones out in the market.
