It's been three years since the world was introduced to the talent of New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde via her smash hit Royals from her album Pure Heroin.

It comes as no surprise that fans of the now 19 year old are eagerly awaiting the follow up especially since she hinted way back in January that it may not be long before fans get to hear her new music.

It can be recalled that the latest that came from Lorde was a collaboration with Disclosure on the song Magnets last year. She was also part of the Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack with the song Yellow Flicker Beat but this was way back in 2014 when she first disclosed that she will start work on new material.

Early this year, Lorde hinted in a tweet that she has already come up with a name for new album but so far, aside from a few guest appearances, she has not given concrete information about her album.

This is why fans are rejoicing her recent post on her Instagram in which she was inside a studio. The post was captioned: It's summer in the studio too (sic)

Fans immediately jumped at the clues from the photo and noticed that the Kiwi artist was wearing a New York cap, and second that she was referencing the heat of summer in her post.

Fans now believe that she is now somewhere in the US recording her album rather than back in New Zealand where the weather is colder.

Rumors have also hinted that Lorde will be collaborating with some of the biggest artists/producers in the music industry such as Kanye West, Drake, Jack Antonoff and it would not be a long shot to work with Taylor Swift since both artists are known to be close friends.
