It hasn't been determined whether Longmire's fifth season will be its last but the upcoming season does promise some excitement as Walt's relationship with his best friend Henry will be put to a test as the latter's secret is revealed.

According to actor Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays the role of Henry, unknown to Walt (Robert Taylor), his character has been living a dual life as he is also a vigilante known as Hector.

"Henry was being carted off to jail by Zahn McClarnon, who plays Mathias. In that scene, you will see what happens - if they cut a deal. Henry will be continuing his dual role as Hector, the sort of vigilante, justice-bringer to the reservation, which will put him on a collision course with Walt Longmire, his best friend," he said.

Speaking of relationships, fans are also expecting to have some development in the romance department for Walt and Vic (Katee Sackhoff) after Sackhoff posted a photo depicting a scene with her and Taylor in uniform, seemingly working on a case.

However, as of last season, Walt was still involved with Donna (Ally Walker).

Still, fans are holding out hope that something will become of shipping Walt and Vic since the Longmire novels also carry the same vibe between the two characters, Inquisitr reported.

In one of the novels, their uncertain relationship ends up in a sexual tryst when Walt seeks comfort from Vic following a brutal attack on his daughter.

While the series draws inspiration from books, it doesn't necessarily follow the literature to the letter. As a matter of fact, in one episode, Vic flat out asks Walt about their status and he shuts down any thought of being 'together.'

To find out how this will they or wont they drama will unfold, Longmire Season 5 premieres in Netflix on September 23.
