Child protection experts, faith groups and statutory agencies will be coming together over two days in June to address the global scandal of child abuse.
The conference has been organised by Premier Christian Media and the Churches' Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS).
It will look at the challenges and solutions related to the problem of child abuse from a global perspective.
This includes the possible lack of awareness of the values and beliefs of Christian and other religions among statutory bodies, as well as the unfamiliarity with the law and local legal safeguards among churches and faith groups.
Premier chief executive Peter Kerridge said: "This conference highlights important issues which must be addressed to ensure that children are protected in the religious environment."
Speakers include Professor Sir Al Aynsley-Green, the first ever Children's Commissioner for England, Professor Boz Tchividjian, of US group GRACE (Godley Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment), Dr Lisa Oakley of Manchester Metropolitan University, and the Metropolitan Police Project Violet team.
Safeguarding and Faith is sponsored by Compassion International and takes place at Regent Hall on Oxford Street on 25 and 26 June.
Kerridge said: "We are committed to communicating the Christian faith in the most effective ways available to us.
