The year 2015 is about to close but for the techies out there, it will be all about what devices to expect and which ones come first.
It was initially believed that the top device to look forward to is the Samsung Galaxy S7, which was rumored to be coming out at Samsung's regular Unpacked event this Feb. 21. The event is held before annual usual Mobile World Congress (MWC) to provide the consumer electronics market some spoilers before other brands take the spotlight.
However, there could be someone crashing the party if this leak from a tipster over at Weibo (via Tech Grapple) holds true.
A user with the name of Zealer recently hinted that LG could be unveiling the LG G5 before Samsung, even mentioning the specs of the upcoming LG flagship.
Per that post, Zealer reveals that the LG G5 will come with a 5.6-inch screen (1440 x 2560 pixel resolution) and will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It will also have an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit (GPU) in tow but what is perhaps interesting is the camera that it will be sporting.
He bares that the LG G5 will carry a 21-megapixel main camera, a big jump from what the LG G4 had (16 megapixels). It will also have an 8-megapixel main camera plus some new security features that may include an iris scanner aside from the usual fingerprint reader.
On the outside, the LG G5 will sport a metallic body rather than the leather-based one with the LG V10 carried when it came out earlier this year.
Summing it up, Zealer tags the device as a "beast" and something that could steal the limelight away from Samsung and maybe other devices set to debut at MWC 2016.
Of course, this remains to be seen, same on the issue on whether LG can bump up its chances as far as mobile phone preference for the consumer market is concerned.
