Lenovo P70t specs and features: smartphone vows to stay charged for up to 46 days

Alleged Lenovo P70t smartphone Gizmochina

Lenovo plans to beat its smartphone competitors by releasing a device that promises to last for 46 days without charging. The Chinese multinational electronics and computer hardware brand will be releasing a new smartphone called P70t, which it claims will bear innovative features that could beat other devices in the market today.

The P70t, which will come after the earlier Lenovo products like the P780 and S860 handheld devices, will be capable of giving 15 hours of screen-on time. This is something that other smartphones do not offer to their users at the moment.

Several reports from a Chinese tech website Gizmochina claim that the upcoming Lenovo product will come with a 5-inch OGS display that features by 720 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. It will also have a 64-bit LTE chipset manufactured by MediaTek, 1 GB of RAM with 8 GB internal memory that can be expanded using its microSD slot, as well as a powerful 13-megapixel primary rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter that is good for taking selfies.

The upcoming smartphone will be encased in a 142 mm x 71.8 mm x 8.9 mm body, made with a leather-like material at the back. And just like most Chinese manufactured smartphones, the soon to be released Lenovo P70t will have a dual-SIM slot.

But the device's selling point is its massively powered 4000 mAh battery pack, which is claimed to last up to 46 days without recharging when it is on standby mode.

Lenovo is expected to release the P70t smartphone at more affordable rates compared to its U.S. and South Korean-based competitors. The handset will be out in the Chinese market sometime in 2015, but there is no information yet about its actual price and release date. There are also minimal details given about its international release.

Lenovo, incidentally, is the official hardware partner of Windows Phone.
