A moment of delinquency will lead to a terrifying ordeal for a high school student in the upcoming episode of the long-running NBC series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

In episode 10 titled "Catfishing Teacher," Hollywood Hills reports that the team will be tapped to investigate a case involving a teenager and his teacher. The juvenile has planned a hookup with his instructor. Unfortunately for him, he will get more than what he has bargained for. The clandestine night will turn into a more sinister setting, where one of them could end up dying. The case is one of the sensitive topics the series will air for 2016, wherein indecent relationships with minors will be discussed.

Meanwhile, executive producer Warren Leight told TV Guide that Special Victims Unit (SVU) leader Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) will be dealing with a harrowing experience that will scar her for a long time. The lieutenant will reportedly be abducted, just when she is at one of the lowest moments of her life. Leight said that viewers would see a different Benson come 2016, where the pressure of her work takes a toll on her. This leads her to committing mistakes she normally will not do. The instant she "drops her guard" will purportedly get her in a threatening situation with a dangerous criminal.

"We're going to start off the year new, for people who worry about Olivia, with the scariest episode of the season. We haven't quite gone this far with her since the William Lewis [Pablo Schreiber] stuff," Leight said.

Aside from the abduction, viewers will also see how the trial against child abductor Lewis Hoda (Tom Sizemore) will end. Before the winter break, the jury deadlocked in deciding whether or not Hoda was guilty of his crimes. When the series returns, it is expected that some kind of resolution about the case will be given.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 17 will return Jan. 6, 2016 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
