'Jurassic World' plot: Director hints movie will see humans fighting alongside dinosaurs

"Jurassic World" is hitting the silver screen in roughly six months and before it does, spoilers are made to fly around and they are not mere speculations but straight from the person who helms the movie himself, Director Colin Trevorrow.

"Happy Holidays from the editing room. Do not try this at home," tweeted the filmmaker along with a photo of "Jurassic World" main protagonist Chris Patt posing next to the feared and dangerous velociraptor. In turn, IB Times remarked that "Jurassic World" might be staying away from the chasing and battling of humans against dinosaurs, but rather fighting alongside the dangerous creatures.

"[Pratt's character] Owen's relationship with the raptors is complicated. They aren't friends. These animals are nasty and dangerous and they'll bite your head off if you make the wrong move," Trevorrow told Slash Film. "But there are men and women out there today who have forged tenuous connections with dangerous predators. That's interesting territory to me," he then added.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Trevorrow voiced out his plans on redefining the classic movies and giving them distinct factors not seen in the original. "There's a lot of bold new ideas in the movie and I'm pushing it as far forward as I can. I know Steven didn't want me to make a carbon copy of the earlier films. So we're going for it," said the director. So the possibility of dinosaurs and humans working together made more sense with the director's plans.

Furthermore, Trevorrow said, "Chris Pratt's character is doing behavioral research on the raptors. They aren't trained, they can't do tricks. He's just trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between these highly intelligent creatures and human beings. If people don't think there's potential in those ideas, maybe they won't like this movie. But I ask them to give it a chance."

"Jurassic World" will open in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on Jun. 12, 2015.
