Josh Duggar checks into rehab as parents say he brought 'great insult' to the family

When Josh Duggar from the cancelled Christian reality TV show "19 Kids and Counting" molested several young girls, including his own sisters when he was only 14 years old, his parents Jim Bob and Michelle "disciplined" him by sending him to a Christian work camp for several months.

Just recently, after learning that their son had been unfaithful to his wife Anna by by using the cheating website Ashley Madison by his own admission, the Duggar couple acted once again—this time telling their son to check into a rehab facility.

"Yesterday Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment centre. For him it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery. We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change," the Duggar couple wrote on their website. "In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future. During this time we continue to look to God—He is our rock and comfort. We ask for your continued prayers for our entire family," Jim Bob and Michelle said.

The Christian couple feel grateful for the "outpouring of love, care and prayers" for their family even more so now when they are dealing with this "most difficult" situation with Josh.

"As parents we are so deeply grieved by our son's decisions and actions. His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others. He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear," they said.

Many people have actually been encouraging Anna to leave Josh, but the devoted wife seems determined to fix her marriage with Josh for the sake of their four kids –Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, and Meredith Grace.
