Jon Jones UFC comeback fight rumors: Bones' reinstatement soon?

Most people want to see a rematch between reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight title holder Daniel Cormier and former champion Jon Jones. And if Bones stays on course, that much awaited showdown could happen soon. In 2016 perhaps?

Well, it all depends on a few things. Right now, Jon Jones has to satisfy the conditions tied up with that plea deal for a hit-and-run incident that happened back in April. Jones escaped jail time with a plea bargain where part of the conditions include 72 appearances with youth groups.

The latest word out is that Jones has been getting high marks on his appearances in the hope of encouraging kids to make wise decisions growing up. And at the rate he is going, it may not be long before Bones satisfies the conditions from that plea deal.

With that in mind, the next thing on the agenda would be the status of Jones. Right now, he is on indefinite suspension for the April incident; but the UFC seems to be leaning toward a reinstatement once Jones cleans up his act.

All the hoopla involving Cormier and Jones came about when the latter hinted (via Instagram) that he missed fighting. Obviously, he was watching Cormier's tiff against Alexander Gustafsson in which the former won at UFC 192 via split decision.

With that thought looming, it didn't take long for Jones to restart another round of word war with Cormier via Twitter. Both have been known to get it on before and now, the two are at it again.

This, of course, brings bad news to another UFC fighter, Ryan Bader, who claims that he should be given a title shot after pulling out a unanimous decision victory over Rashad Evans also at UFC 192.

With Jones still on suspension, Bader feels that he should get a title shot before Bones.

But things got a bit interesting when Cormier hinted that he wanted some time off after fighting seven times in the last two years. He claims that he wants to go on a hiatus to spend time with his family, although many feel it's a way to buy Jones some time until the two can once again meet in a rematch.

Cormier is looking for payback from Jones who handed him his first loss back in January.
