iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 release date update: Devices to be unveiled on March 15 [VIDEO]

There will be a new iPhone and iPad Air out next month, with reports that Apple is all set to start 2016 with the two new devices in their lineup.

Word of such comes from 9to5Mac, who bares that the company will be unveiling the latest iPhone variant, which is fairly similar in size to the previous iPhone 5s which hit the market back in 2013, on March 15.

Even though the 4-inch sized iPhone should be a hit among customers with small palms, the iPhone 5se will carry some features that the iPhone 6 and 6s had previously shown.

Among the features the iPhone 5se will be carrying reportedly include Apple's latest A9 processor, a near field communication (NFC) chip for Apple Pay, the latest Siri support, an 8-megapixel main camera, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing shooter that allows users to capture images with the Live Photos feature.

When it comes to its physical design, some minor aesthetical changes include a curved glass around its edges. Like the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 5se will be available in rose gold, gold, silver, and space grey color variants.

As far as the new iPad Air 3 is concerned, the tablet will allegedly include a Smart Connector, which should encourage the use of Apple-branded accessories such as the Smart keyboards and the Apple Pencil.

Other than that, the new iPad variant will be equipped with an improved camera system, a rear flash for brighter photo captures, and an A9 processor.

Additional good news comes in the availability of the iPhone 5se or iPad Air 3. Usually, customers would need to wait for weeks to months but this time around, both products will reportedly be ready for purchase three days after the launch.

Now, aside from the new iPhone and iPad Air, there will also be some new Apple Watch Sport Band colors, a space black Milanese loop, and NATO-style nylon bands.
